Get the VIP PassIn this mixed media workshop learn how to paint both fabric and Tyvek for your sky. Then see how to audition fabric pieces and then stitch them to create a seascape, using either hand or/and machine stitch. See how you can incorporate found objects. This beginner-friendly project is perfect for making your own unique seascape or landscape which can be mounted or framed.
Materials
- Backing fabric - you won’t see this.
- Sky material. You may have a plain or plainish print for sky. I showed colouring Tyvek paper & washed cotton using Brusho Crystals & fabric paint, both with water.
- Fabric pieces & yarns for the land (if creating a landscape) or ocean (if creating a seascape). These can be different weights, textures and colours.
- Â Thread White machine weight or stranded embroidery thread is great for seascapes, and brown or grean for landscapes, but variagated threads can look lovely. Choose if you want your stitches to blend into the fabrics or be a feature.
