Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment: Zen Stitching Inc and Making Zen are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that education should be inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of how they interact with technology or consume content. We are actively working to align our digital platforms and educational materials with the principles of the Nova Scotia Accessibility Act and international accessibility standards.
Standards We Aim For We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities.
Our Accessible Features To support our diverse community of learners, we currently provide:
- Video Content: Most of our pre-recorded workshop videos include English transcripts and multi-language subtitles to support learners who are deaf, hard of hearing, or non-native English speakers.
- Live Interaction: For our live Zoom sessions and Q&A meetings, we strive to implement real-time captioning and accessible meeting settings.
Ongoing Improvements Accessibility is an ongoing journey. We recognize that some parts of our digital experience may still present barriers. We are actively auditing our:
- Downloadable PDF handouts and resources.
- Navigation and usability of our workshop hosting platforms.
- Live session accessibility tools.
Reporting a Barrier If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using our website, accessing our workshops, or engaging with our live events, please let us know. Your feedback is vital in helping us improve.
Please contact us at [email protected] with the following information if possible:
- The specific content or page where the barrier occurred.
- A description of the issue you encountered.
- The assistive technology you are using (e.g., screen reader, keyboard-only navigation).
We aim to respond to all accessibility reports within 3-5 business days and work toward a resolution.
